Review and Giveaway: Breathe Right

Monday, October 4, 2010

I was contacted by M80 to do a review of Breathe Right strips, and since I've always wanted to try them, I figured I'd participate in a little review and have a giveaway for my readers!

My children both suffer from seasonal allergies and my son must be severely allergic to mold because it literally tears him up! Some nights they have a hard time breathing and normal over-the-counter drugs just don't help enough. They both tried the Breathe Right Advanced Nasal Strips and commented how much better they could breathe (even while awake!) These will definitely be on my list of items to keep on hand!

In conjunction with this review and giveaway, I'd like to share my tips on what I think makes a healthier, happier family. I'm a single mom so I'm always doing the work of two but it's the little things (in my mind) that make the most difference.

I always try to take time out of my day (no matter how bad, crazy, or stressful) for each one of my children. I let them voice how their day was, ask and answer questions, and I help them with their homework. In the evening when it's time to wind down for the upcoming day, I remind my daughter to get her items for the next day together so she won't be rushing around in the morning.

On the weekends, we like to relax, either at home or with friends. I give my children enough opportunities to enjoy being a child and I trust them. It doesn't mean I'm easy on them - but I feel like we have a good enough relationship that either they would come to me with a problem or I would be able to identify it.

We like to do crafts together, as well as play games, and watch movies. I make sure to do at least three of these activities a week. It keeps us close and helps keep us grounded.

We're not perfect but I like to think we're happy. I'm doing the best that I can do with what I have.

Now, onto the contest:
