Walmart and Box Tops - a great partnership (giveaway)

Sunday, August 8, 2010

One thing I love about companies is if they give back to the community. Purchasing brands that carry a Box Tops for Education label on it makes me feel like I'm doing a little part to make a change. I clip the Box Tops all the time and send them in with my children a couple of times a year.

I'm happy to announce that Box Tops has partnered up with Walmart to add even more Box Tops to certain products!

The Box Tops for Education program is an easy solution and this year Walmart is making it even easier! From Aug. 3 - Aug. 31, head over to your local Walmart to find 4 Box Tops on participating General Mills products and earn more cash for the participating school of your choice. As your one-stop destination for all your needs this back-to-school season, Walmart is helping you save more and earn more with the Box Tops for Education brands you love.

With over 20 great brands and more than 40 products participating, here are just a few favorites that include 4 Box Tops that you can find at Walmart this August: Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, Pillsbury Toaster Strudel pastries, Trix Yogurt, Hamburger Helper skillet meals, Totino´s Pizza Rolls snacks, Nature Valley Granola Bars and Betty Crocker Fruit Roll-Ups snacks. Be sure to keep an eye out for Box Tops on great products from Kleenex, Ziploc, and Hefty too!

MyBlogSpark sent me a $25 gift card to Walmart for participating in this Spark. Since I'm lucky enough to have a Walmart Supercenter about 15 minutes away from me, I went there to make sure the item(s) I wanted would be available.
I was able to get some Chocolate Cheerios (for me), Reese's Puffs (for my son), and Strawberry Chex (for my daughter), along with some other staples: Progresso Soup, Totino's Crispy Crust Party Pizza, Yoplait Splitz, Green Giant Bagged Vegetables with Sauce, Pillsbury Toaster Strudel, and Cottonelle Bath tissue.
And you know I'm a couponer, so every item I bought I had a coupon for! I save about $10 just by going up there! And Walmart's prices are so much lower than other places, so I'm happy about going there to save and spend my money!

One winner will win a $25 Gift Card to Walmart to buy their favorite Box Tops items!
