One of my favorite websites, Parenthood.com, is just chock-full of information. Right now they have up quite a few great articles as well as a printable Fire Inspection Checklist that you can print out for your kids to teach them about fire safety hazards.
Did you know that more than 1,000 children age 9 and under die each year (that's nearly three children every day). Most home fires are preventable, and if we all take the time to educate ourselves, these tragedies could be prevented. I'll be going over the tips and printout with my kids tomorrow! We also don't have an escape route so we'll work that out too!
