I know I said this to you late last night, but Happy Easter! The Lord is Risen! Hallelujah!
Since you're here, have a cookie:
The children and I have been enjoying our Sunday. It's sunny out and it's beautiful. We've been enjoying each other's company, playing some games and doing some Fishful Thinking Activities. We have been having fun!
Here's a couple of photos of my kids participating in the Emotion Charades Fishful Thinking activity:
That's Ravyn trying to act out "Anxious". It's harder than it would seem!
Above is my son acting out "Ecstatic".
Doing this activity, I talked to them about emotions and how when we feel them, they are so easy to come out, but when we are trying to act them out, they are much harder to act out. I also talked to them about holding in our emotions at least for a minute, to think about our feelings, and how we should react. Will the reaction foster a positive reaction, or a negative one, and try to act accordingly, even though our emotions might have the best of us at that second in time.
You should try this with your children. It's good for ages 5 through 12. If you're interested in more specifics of this activity, email me.
Hope you and your family are enjoying your Easter Sunday! God Bless You!
